Overview

Updraft ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our iOS app and website.

Data We Collect

Health and fitness data — Updraft integrates with Apple HealthKit to read and write health and fitness data (such as workouts, heart rate, and recovery metrics). This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers, shared with third parties, or used for advertising or marketing purposes. You control which data Updraft can access through iOS Health permissions in the Health app, and you can revoke access at any time.

Workout and recovery data you enter manually into the app is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your health or fitness data on our servers.

Email address — if you join our waitlist via our website, we collect and store your email address to send you product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.

Analytics — we use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data on our website (such as page views). No personally identifiable information is collected through these analytics. The app may use Apple's built-in analytics to collect anonymous usage and crash data if you have opted in to share such data with developers through your device settings.

Rate limiting — when you submit the waitlist form on our website, your IP address is processed transiently to prevent abuse. IP addresses are not logged or stored persistently.

Third-Party Services

We use Resend for email delivery and Vercel for website hosting and analytics. These third-party providers are contractually obligated to protect user data with safeguards that are at least as stringent as those described in this policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.

Data Retention

Your health and fitness data stays on your device. You can delete it by removing the app or revoking HealthKit permissions. Waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

Children's Privacy

Our app and website are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@updraft.cc. You may also exercise your Health data controls directly through the Apple Health app on your device.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
