Sleep Score

How well you slept, not just how long.

Your Sleep Score (0–100) evaluates both the quantity and quality of your sleep each night. Getting enough hours matters, but so does what happens during those hours.

What goes into it

  • Duration. How your total sleep time compares to your personal goal. Hitting your target earns full credit; falling short reduces the score proportionally.
  • Deep sleep. The physically restorative stage. Updraft checks whether you’re getting enough relative to your total sleep time.
  • REM sleep. Critical for cognitive recovery and memory. Evaluated the same way as deep sleep.
  • Awake time. Time spent awake after falling asleep reduces your score. More interruptions mean less efficient sleep.

Scoring

The score combines these factors with duration weighted most heavily — you can’t make up for a short night with great sleep stages. Deep and REM sleep quality can boost or lower the score within the range your duration allows.

Beyond individual nights, Updraft tracks your sleep patterns over time. You can see how your bedtime, wake time, and duration trend week over week, and how they compare to your usual patterns.
